For
Immediate Release Fairway Villas Wins National Awards Epcon Communities, a national home building developer and franchise operator, recently announced that Fairway Villas at Catawba Island Club won the “Franchise of the Year Award” and “Mentor of the Year Award” at the 2008 Epcon Communities National Builders Conference in Pasadena, California on March 18, 2008. Fairway Villas was chosen out of 126 active builder partners and over 200 communities nationwide. According to Tony Corona, a partner, “this award is given to the community that successfully builds, manages, sells, has great owner satisfaction and is committed to production and execution of the standards set by the Epcon Communities Franchising system.” In addition, Fairway Villas won “Mentor of the Year.” This is given to the Franchisee that participates with and goes above and beyond in supporting other Franchisees in their endeavors. According to Corona, “this is the fourth of six possible highest honors they have won in two years. Last year we won “Best Community Center” and “Best Landscape Design.” According to Nanette Overly, Vice President for Epcon Communities Sales and Marketing, “the Fairway Villas team has worked together to go beyond what is required to become a very successful builder partner. They have proven to be a great asset to the organization as a whole by aiding in others success, committing themselves to the franchise and the process, and by seeking out initiatives to better the organization.” Fairway Villas, a single story maintenance free condominium community, is located off of West Catawba Road on Catawba Island across from Catawba Island Club.
